SoCal’S Plek Station

Striving for perfection... One instrument at a time.

(714) 596-5050

We are fully open to the public. However, you must have an appointment to drop off an instrument for service. This system prevents us from being overwhelmed with work and turnaround times dragging out for weeks. Turnaround time from your appointment date should be less than a week for most jobs. If you find a repair shop that isn’t busy, it’s for a reason.

Call 714-596-5050 to make an appointment. We do not arrange them via email or DM’s.

Thanks for being cool.

-Hugh

Why get a setup?

Is your instrument difficult to play? Buzzing in random areas? Going out of tune all the time? You need a setup (and possibly fret work). It's like taking your car into the shop for a tuneup. Our specialty here at 13th Street Guitars is making your Guitar, Bass, Ukulele, Etc... play better than it ever has. We aren't snobs and don't care if your gear is inexpensive. We work with beginners, hobbyists, aspiring musicians and the pros. Everyone gets expert service and the utmost attention to detail. We are not the cheapest in town. We don’t have the quickest turnaround. We are very good at what we do, however. All work is 100% guaranteed. We stand behind that promise.

You can find us in Huntington on the northeast corner of Gothard & Heil (second driveway on right)

Bass Garage

The Bass Garage is a full-service bass custom shop at 13th Street Guitars. We are experts at repairing and setting up your bass. 4 string, 5 string, 6 or more strings. We work on them all. We do custom modifications - Pickups, hardware, bridges, custom woodwork such as routing the body for added electronics - Active Pickups, preamps, Fretless conversions

Factory Authorized Service Center for Spector Bass, Fodera, Ibanez

Ukulele

We work on a lot of ukuleles here at 13th Street Guitars. We understand and address the needs of this special little instrument. We can make yours play its best, too! Many ukes have very high action when they're new. This distance of the strings to the frets can make it difficult to play, as well as making it pull sharp when you fret it. We can tighten that down as well as dress the frets to make sure it rings every note out clearly. Want to switch to a low G? We can dial your uke in so it sounds right.
