guitar repair

We can do almost anything you need for your electric guitar or bass. We guarantee our work.

Setups are $75, flat rate for electric guitar & bass.
This will get your action how you want it, eliminate buzzing,
and make the guitar play in tune up and down the neck.
(no additional charge for 5 or 6 string bass, Floyd Rose, Kahler, or other Floating Bridges)
(some fees for 12 strings apply)

Our complete setup includes:
Restringing - Strings not included (we carry Ernie Ball, D'addario, Elixir)
Cleaning/polishing frets/fingerboard, oiling unfinished fingerboards (such as rosewood)
Adjustment of the truss rod for proper neck relief,
Adjusting/leveling the bridge, saddles,
Slotting the nut to set string height and eliminate binding/improve tuning,
Accurate setting of intonation (to make it play in tune all over the neck)
Adjust pickups, tighten and clean hardware, etc...
We also give the entire instrument a good cleaning and polishing.

A good setup usually means the difference between a guitar that
plays well and one that doesn't. Even inexpensive guitars can be
setup to play right. We will make your guitar play better than it ever has.

Guitar Setup

Peterson Strobe Tuners are used to ensure the best possible intonation. We'll make those chords sound beautiful and those high notes stay in tune way up the neck.

Guitar Intonation

Complete fret work available at competitive prices.
We charge $75 to do a detailed fret dress. This will clean up those worn frets, perfectly leveling them out to avoid any high or low spots, twists, or waves that cause mysterious buzzing or dead notes. They will look and
feel like they're new. We put a lot more attention to detail into this job than the majority of guitar manufacturers do, so we can say they will be better than new when you get it back.

We charge $130 for a Setup & Fret Dress combo. That's a $20 savings.
(This is the most popular option our clients take advantage of.)

Refrets start at $275 including a complete setup. Price varies depending on the type of neck, finish, binding, etc...
We have several fret sizes available, or we can special order any type.
We'll pull those old frets out, level the fingerboard and clean it up,
then put in whichever size of new frets you like.
We work with bound necks, set necks, and maple
fingerboard refinishing.
The neck plays like brand new after this procedure.

bass Setup

We make bone and graph tech teflon nuts to custom fit your guitar.
The price for a bone nut is $50. Each one is carefully hand crafted, cut and filed to spec
and cleaned up for an attractive appearance.

Wood routing prices vary depending on the job. Routing a humbucker is typically $50. This is a case-by-case basis, but we can do
almost anything you come up with. We've done many projects from mild to wild. From cutting in a battery box to installing a touch-screen controller to putting a Floyd Rose on a Les Paul.

Custom pickups, bridges, hardware, controls, batteries
Pickup repair such as rewiring,
wax potting for old pickups that feedback (screeching noises)
We charge $30 to install a pickup, $60 to do two or three of them.

We do complicated projects like active pickups and preamps. Our soldering work is very clean and professional. We use a Weller Digital Soldering Station and mil spec soldering techniques.

EQ, killswitch, push-pull pot, coil split (aka coil tap),
custom wiring schemes for phasing, hum canceling, etc...

If you have a schematic, we can do it. If you don't have a schematic,
we will come up with one to accomplish what you want to do.

We do broken Headstock and neck repairs, fill holes, torn out strap buttons, tuner screw holes, etc...

Any Questions? Give us a call and we'll help you out.
Don't feel overwhelmed if you don't know the proper terms, etc...
We're here to help.
